Amazon did this with the Touch as well and I think it is absolutely ridiculous. I know Amazon wants to charge separately for this but I think not including one is really greedy. If you need one, you may want to buy the Kindle Power Adapter although I'm sure you could probably find a much cheaper one somewhere."

Well, the answer is it's not great. I had left my KK alone for months at a time without the battery even going past 25% battery left."
