Buying and downloading books for Kindle in Hong Kong 教你如何在香港購買Kindle電子書

Having issue trying to purchase books for your Kindle? Even with Hong Kong not being amongst the countries eligible for wireless Whispernet, it is still possible to purchase Kindle books from Amazon.com.

Here's the steps which prove success for me earlier.
  1. Go to Amazon.com and login into your account. Or the other approach would be to create a new Amazon.com account using a generic email address provider such as gmail or aim.
  2. Go to Borderlinx.com and create an account. You'll get a virtual U.S. address once you have registered.
  3. Go to Amazon.com and purchase a Gift Certificate and email the gift code to your email.
  4. Go to Amazon.com and apply the Gift Certificate to your newly created account in step 1.
  5. Go to Amazon.com and register your Kindle online – To prevent your account from being disable. Don't use the wireless Whispernet on your Kindle to register your account.
  6. Go to Amazon.com and set up 1-Click payment method associated with your Kindle to make the Kindle books button enabled for purchase. Enter your valid credit card number based in Hong Kong, and use the U.S. billing address which was set up earlier in step 2.
  7. Woila!! You should now be able to buy books on the Kindle. Remember to always use the Gift certificate for your next purchase. Go to Manage your Kindle and download your book onto your PC, then transfer it using the USB cable provided.
